I’ve always been such a fan of creative environments. I’m drawn to all the cute little details in cafés, homes, parks and pretty much everywhere else.
Now, let me introduce you to the newest park in town, Парк Дружбы Волгоград-Баку, which loosely translates to Friendship Park (Volgograd-Baku). Baku is the capital city of Azerbaijan and the park was put up to commemorate the allies from Baku who assisted in defending Volgograd (then known as Stalingrad) from the German Army during the Second World War.
Right at the entrance of the park stands this pretty little upside down house.
You can rent a bicycle out here for 2 USD and ride it through the park. I find that pretty convenient.
You can never go wrong with flowers.
Everything out here is designed so well.
I have a thing for flowers, if you can’t tell already. 🙂
This castle right here is the epitome of all the architecture in the park. A.M.A.Z.I.N.G!
Love how antique the lights look. I’d love these in my future backyard.
Here’s another place to rent bikes inside the park.
Outdoor games for everyone.
This will get you sweating, especially in this summer heat.
Did I forget to mention that the park lies on the banks of River Volga?
One can never have enough of the views in here.
Chill spot! 🙂
At a crossroads.
And incase you get hungry, there’s a pretty café a few metres from the entrance.
One of the many kids’ play corners within the park.
These lamps though. ❤
I wish there were more of these beautiful parks around town, and everywhere else too.
Peace out! 🙂
Always be kind.
