This is where half the fun of travel lies. I enjoy researching and planning for trips because it allows me to get a glimpse of what to expect when I do travel to a certain place.
Here are a couple of things to consider for all the travel lovers out there:
This refers to transport both to and from your destination and while in your destination as well. For example, most European cities have a subway system that is very convenient and way cheaper compared to taking taxis. I’d pick the first option any day and save the few extra dimes for something else.
Unless you are planning a day trip, you’ll have an easier time booking your accommodation beforehand. This way you’ll have enough time to peruse through all the options available and pick the most suitable one for yourself in the comfort of your own home.
Eating like a local is one of the best ways to experience a new place and it’s culture. Those with food allergies, intolerances and such need to be extra cautious though because indulging in everything given to you could easily result in a life-threatening situation.
Do your research on Visa requirements, health & baggage insurances and all other important procedures to avoid unnecessary glitches before and during your trip.
Lastly, write down a list of all that you need to accomplish by the end of your trip and tick them off your itinerary as the days go by. This way you won’t leave anything out! 🙂
Always be kind.
